Boss Lord Sake Posted March 18, 2020 Boss Share Posted March 18, 2020 For a new story in the same series as Clerical Error, Clerical Corruption, and Sunrise: The premise: Asrielle gets a letter from her family, asking her to return to her old home. Elaria talks her into bringing the two of them for a few days, and the story proceeds from there. This would be the first time Asrielle has been back to see her family in more than a decade, and she's not particularly excited to go back. The question: Whose perspective would be more interesting? Following Asrielle would allow narration to focus on her thoughts regarding her family and comparisons to what she remembers of them and her old home. Following Elaria would create a story where both the audience and the point-of-view character don't know very much about the situation, so for the most part she would learn things at the same time the audience does. The story is essentially the same either way, and both perspectives can be written, but one needs to be written first.
